The company’s performance research and analysis show that the merger that has recently occurred between the two companies has a number of challenges for the staff. It is a well-known fact that prior to the event, the companies saw each other as the greatest competitors in the health care industry, and thus the merger itself should be seen as a great achievement and a means of development. Therefore, the leader team of the newly established syndicate welcomes any initiative directed towards promoting collaboration and better understanding of both sides.
Potential Challenges
Recent findings reveal that both sides of the merger have diverse approaches to business and different standards. Staff of both companies is used to different ways of delivering services to customers, but it is expected that the merger will create an opportunity to combine advantages of both of them. The spirit of competition between employees of both parties to the merger should be turned into the fertile ground of creativity and innovation. The working environment of the new company will ensure comfort and motivation for every employee. We tend to see opportunities in challenges because we believe that difficulties bring changes.
Potential Opportunities
The organizational culture of the new company will absorb the best practices of the both parties to the merger. Equal participation in decision-making should be granted to representatives of both sides. Moreover, the new company has the potential to become a perfect forum for sharing opinions and team work. The new company should be seen as the best possible way of improving the quality of products and services to be delivered to the client and an opportunity to increase market share. We believe that only collaboration and mutual support may help us grow and develop (“Sample Memo,” n.d.).
