I have often had a fascinating admiration for the field of Information Technology and the comprehensive role it plays in engineering solutions to a wider array of problems affecting populations across various contexts. My passion for the field of Information Technology stems to my childhood years where I marvelled about a number of technological innovations.

This paper limits itself to identifying my role model leader in the field of information technology. As such, the manner in which the mentioned leaders is an inspiration to me will be discussed substantively.

Steve Jobs occurs as my role model leader in the field. I am ardently inspired by the technological wonders that this leader developed. Steve Jobs has and continues to be an inspiration to me as I endeavour to attain my goals in the field of information technology.

The primary idea that will be tackled in this project aligns with the specific leadership capabilities posed by my role model leader, which I perceive to be of immense significance to me as an upcoming leader in the field of Information Technology.

Notably, studying Information Technology is not an easy task. Instead, it is an involving endeavour that calls for hard work and discipline (Wientjes, 2011).

An effective leader is one who is creative and innovative (Lundquist, 2011); hence, can exploit his/her abilities towards the development of beneficial innovations.

While much has been hypothesized regarding an effective leader, it is of the essence to note that an effective leader is one who can analyse different challenging situations and develop adequate strategies towards addressing such challenges.

Possessing emotional leadership qualities is one of the positive leadership trait because leaders with such qualities are able to identify themselves in terms of their strengths and weaknesses. As such, they can exploit their strengths to cover up for their weaknesses (Thomson, 2013). In addition, personal responsibility is a comprehensive leadership trait that allows leaders to take full responsibility of any success and failures that occur in their realms.

Born in the year 1955, Steve Jobs was an entrepreneur and inventor. In addition, he was the cofounder of the largest and innovative technological firm: Apple Inc.

Worth noting is the fact that the path taken to by Steve Jobs was not all that easy. This is because of the fact that in the year 1997, Apple Inc. neared bankruptcy, but Steve came to its aid and rebuilt it into the most valuable firm in the world (Wientjes, 2011).

At the moment, Steve Jobs is ranked highly as a leader and role model for various people and corporations. This is evident by the fact that his biography has been used widely to draw management lessons that are crucial in the running of various organizations and corporations.

There is no doubt that there are a lot of leadership qualities that were evident in Steve Jobs personal responsibility. Above all, Steve Jobs exhibited control as a leadership quality. This was evident by the fact that he took full responsibility for the products developed by Apple Inc. and stuck to them till the end.
