New Conclusion
Oscar Wild was really shot and killed by a Bart office in 2009. Fruitvale Station presents a fictional representation of the last twenty-four hours of Oscar’s life. Rather than simply showing the events that occurred in Oscar’s life, the film moves deeper and portrays the life of a young black man struggling in modern society. Facing issues of jail, drugs and a troubled marriage, the film lures the audience into seeing how Oscar is actually a good and likeable man. Although the film could have could have portrayed an officer shooting in a more dramatic way, the film is a perfect example of a fictional film that leaves the audience to believe the events are real.
