Promoting Health Care
According to the article “National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and health Promotion,” Chronic Disease causes the highest death rate in the United States. 86% of the nation’s health care cost is Chronic Diseases, and CDC (The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) definitely played an important role in this field. As a result, it reflects a major concern on the national health care sector. However, the mitigation of such expenses on health care can be avoided by adopting preventive measures to limit the occurrence of these illnesses. Ideally, control of chronic preventable diseases involves an understanding of how they manifest in human bodies and the appropriate mitigation measures. The cost of preventing these diseases is far much less than curing the population when it breaks out in the society. Therefore, it is in the best interest of the respective health care firms and government agencies to develop ways to prevent these illnesses from affecting the people.
In my opinion, promoting health care requires a public backing. In particular, the society needs to be convinced of the benefits associated with high health standards. This will allow them to take into consideration the instruction given by medical practitioners on the appropriate ways to manage and improve their health status. Moreover, the cost of acquiring health care services should be controlled because of the private capitalist investing in health care provision attempting to inflate the costs for the financial benefits. Therefore, the public institution and state bodies need to set the cushion of the maximum chargeable prices for specific health care services to protect patients from exploitation given the perfectly inelastic demand for these services.
Improving access to health care services involve an increasing in the funding of some services that would reduce the cost of health care. As a result, it makes it accessible for people across different classes of life. Primary health care enables a closer look at the patient and hence making it possible to detect and analyze the manifestation of health complications.
