Personal Assessment and Sales Evaluation
Executive Summary
This paper is written on January 2016, at a younger career development phase as a marketer. The paper is a self-evaluation plan that discusses my personal potential, my dimensions of life and even my successful life. This article is written for my personal development through self-evaluation; however, this paper is partly for my professor, as it is an assignment. Hopefully, this exercise will enable me deeply uncover the deeper parts of my personalities and capabilities that have been unknown to me. The exercise also hopefully allows me to learn different techniques required for my marketing profession.
Scope of Paper
The paper covers the dimensions of life including the body, mind, heart and soul, a successful life constituting of the growing, knowing and sowing and their applications to marketing. The paper also addresses different management scopes as applicable to marketing, for example, presentation, personal and professional management.

My general strengths include my outstanding capability to be creative and innovative. I also exhibit open-mindedness, qualities that have consistently facilitated my effectiveness and efficiency in performing the tasks expected of me as compared to my fellows. Being open-minded has enabled me to be quickly adaptable to different business situations in a fast-changing business environment. Innovation and creativity both enable my personal advancement hence an upper hand in any field of study. My weaknesses or drawbacks include over-commitments and goal fixations that have in some degree affected the much-desired flexibility. In many instances, my over-commitment to different issues has resulted to hindrances incase mistakes occur. Therefore, these weaknesses have resulted in a waste of precious efforts and time. Another weakness includes a not very developed leadership skills that may slightly undermine my performances as a leader. My potential threats include competition from equally qualified opponents as well as the fear of exam failure. With the increasing demand of qualified personnel in the commerce and marketing industry, competition remains at the top of the list. My opportunities include my education or academic pursuit that I am already embracing.

Having identified my area of career interest, a self-assessment compared to the educational and practical career requirements are vital. I have an interest in pursuing a business course with majors in marketing; this is my favorite career path considering my personal attributes of good communication skills, better at initiating social relationships and my goal-oriented nature.
Purpose
I intend to enroll for a diploma course in business management which I Will then upgrade to a Bachelor’s degree with majors in marketing. I would seek assistance from tutors and mentors to assist me in limiting my weaknesses and threats, for instance, through involving qualified role models and motivational individuals to assist me to pursue my course through offering guidelines. These I plan to complete within a span of five years at the same time maintaining my aggressiveness. Moreover, I also plan to find a job through the university recruiters who are in most cases reliable.
Vision
My aim is to become a resourceful and a professional marketer who can apply the cutting edge marketing skills to achieve organizational business success. I view myself as a future marketing consultant with a leading marketing firm and a mentor to the upcoming marketing students and trainees in the ever growing field.
Sowing
One of the critical success factors for moving forward in life is building a life around other people. By constantly considering other individuals, be it in the industry, at school or home, they are in every way important in shaping the person that we are. When at school, my tutor is my guide and my lead in shaping my training needs. I will make sure a give them an easy time and ask questions in the topics that are not clear to me. My classmates and I require a conducive learning environment for maximum concentration in class; I will strive to ensure the same. Once am qualified and possess the required skills and expertise in my field my noble employer and a constituent of my field is the client; that is the organization that receives my services. I will adhere to the organizational policies and principles besides my career discipline. Assisting my juniors and mentoring the upcoming marketers is the legacy I would like to leave behind.
Dimensions of Life – Balance of Four Areas of life to Address When Knowing, Growing and Sowing
Success in the physical world-Body
The human body has to be healthy for one to be at peace when chasing their life dreams and careers. Time spent nursing injuries or managing illnesses does not pay and instead costs. I intend to practice a balanced diet, prescribed health practices and preventive measures to stay healthy and keep my success dreams on the course. Proper management of personal finances is a good habit for prevention of stress and unnecessary spending. The relationship between oneself and the environment in which we live should be health if we want a conducive working environment and an easy achievement of our set goals.
Success in the mental world-Mind
I am a goal oriented and consistent in my journey towards success in my field of practice. I am fully aware that only focus and perseverance will guide my path to success. While on my struggles to life’s journey to success, the world around me is very unpredictable hence the needs to be flexible and adjust accordingly to fit in the competitive marketing field.
Success in the social world-Heart
During the stages of personal and professional growth, an individual is never alone at any given time. At home, I am surrounded by family members who are the sponsors to my life's dream and who fill me with encouragement and hope. Other related persons who are also important to my life are my friends, business associates and peers in the field. Relating well with all the above-mentioned persons will enhance my career growth and personal development.
Success in spiritual world-soul
There is the need to understand the world in which we exist and the purpose for which we live. The society where I come from is where individuals believe in doing good to help others which translates to good fortunes for the kindness. A kind and humble person are remembered even after he or she is long gone and that is what I strive to achieve.

Production refers to my ability to give out results, my productions enlists the different responsibilities in a given time frame. To ensure the balance between my production and my production capabilities, I would always ensure that I produce quality results consistently as per the demand. My production capability would, therefore, include the time and resources I would have to utilize to improve my production quality outcomes at every situation. To effectively balance my production capability with my production, I would consistently learn new strategy patterns and techniques to solve any marketing problem that I come around. This balance is very vital in my career since it assist me maintain my code and even solve marketing problems better. For even better balancing, I would ensure complete agility and flexibility in producing results and spend adequate time and resources benchmarking different marketing databases. Finally, to balance my production and productivity, I would conduct studies to check and countercheck the steps my counterparts are taking that am not to remain trendy. This assists me to know the current demands and invest my resources and time on maintaining the upfront marketing. It is important to note that production capabilities versus production balance apply to highly treasured human assets in a company- the staff ends the consumers. The balance treats employees and consumers as volunteers who give out their minds and hearts.
Customer Management
My customers are the reason for my career existence. Therefore, they are held with high esteem since they completely dictate the success or even the failure of my marketing career. My customers include the organization, my colleagues, other consumers, and even my friends and family. They contribute a huge role in the promotion, distribution, sales and even marketing of every product displayed for marketing. An appropriate and satisfactory customer relationship is very vital in my marketing filed. To ensure this kind of relationship, I would ensure the customers are completely involved through consistent interactions that are aimed at maintaining loyalty and trust. I would also ensure I meet the needs of the customers and meet the set legal strategies in keeping the consumers properly informed. I would also collect necessary information regarding the clients and compare and contrast my services against that of my opponents to counter-check the areas that require adjustments. To create a long lasting and satisfactory relationship, I would always communicate necessary updates to address issues like complains. Finally, I would occasionally make face to face interactions with the customers and even carry out surveys to evaluate the levels of their satisfaction with my marketing techniques.
Presentation Management
Proper management of presentation helps in retaining the customers. The presentation techniques that would ensure the customers are prompted to listen to my marketing campaigns. The presentation is, however, effective when a successful relationship is already established with the consumer. Therefore to promote my presentation outcomes, I would always ensure the consumer is involved, asked to grade the services and necessary adjustments are made. During the presentation, the customer should be given the first say, and I must not give up on the first case of rejection.
After-Sale Management
Honesty and integrity and bearing mistakes form the basic philosophy of customer satisfaction. In case I promise a customer something, and fail to deliver the promise to the consumers' expectations, I am aware of the disappointment and discontentment that will arise on the customers' side. To address this matter, I would always over deliver and under promise. In a case where a promise is not delivered, I would instantly contact the customer through phone or even face to face to explain the situation, giving the consumers’ confidence. Additionally, I would internally pre determine the guidelines to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
Metrics and Evaluation Management
Routine assessment and evaluation are very important in my marketing career. Evaluation and assessment enable me monitor my progress and identify my areas of weaknesses. My evaluations will be carried out through pre-destined time frame intervals to make correctly my deductions. These evaluations will help me remain current and competitive in the marketing world. Additionally, I would ensure that I benchmark my competitors' performance to achieve a standard marking scheme for my career (Falcone 78).
Continuous Quality Improvement Management
After effectively and efficiently evaluating my progress, I would proceed to establish my areas of weaknesses, strengths, my potential opportunities and even the threats or risks to my career. Using the information I acquire through the previous step, I would adjust and improve through utilizing expert advice from excellent marketing mentors. I would also seek the advice from close friends, colleagues, and family. I would remind myself of my goals and objectives. Even though this would be a hard nut, I would remind myself on my task to maintain focus and perseverance (Frey, Bayon and Totzek 510).

I want to apply the most effective and efficient marketing skills learned through training and experience so as to place my organization at the pole position regarding market leadership

Final Summary
The three subheadings; knowing, growing and sowing are tools for self-assessment for an individual who expects to develop personally and professionally. One begins with knowing which stands for self-discovery of the abilities, the purpose and the requirements for professional and personal development. Growing is the act of taking the necessary action to become what one has discovered and sowing looks at the support and relationships with others. The path to evaluating the three attributes involves the examination of body, mind, heart and soul. The exercise enabled my asses the management strategies and, therefore, evaluate my potential in understanding my customers and fulfilling their demands.
