It is my heartfelt hope that this email finds you in good health. I am happy to inform you that two marketing managers (Mike Martin and Theresa Wang) have been selected to attend the Social Marketing Conference in Orlando, Florida as from 4th of June 2016 to 10th June 2016. Several employees had put in requests to participate in the conference, but only you, Mike Martin and Theresa Wang, have been chosen to represent your teams. This is because of the cost implications; the attendance fee is $1000 per an individual, air ticket and accommodation not included. The figure is likely to double, hence the need to send the fewest number possible.
I am familiar with the happenings of the conference having attended more than once a few years back. Different sessions run concurrently; therefore, to make most of the conference, I insist that the two you attend different classes at a time. By so doing, the both of you will gain different exposure that you will share among yourselves and your teams once you get back.
When you resume duty, each of you will be required to write a report on the lessons learnt during the conference. In the report, you will focus on detailed and measurable goals with regards to areas of improvement of our SodalsAwesom.com to aid the company meet and possibly surpass its sales of gourmet soda flavoring. You will also be required to make a well-detailed and executable presentation to your teams one week after the conference in order to put your teams at the same level. The company targets twice the volume of sales as the cost of the conference.
