Thesis: There is a need of improvement in child obesity intervention programs to address behavioral, genetic, and environmental factors causing disparities in child obesity cases.
Introduction (short): Obesity is the major problem in children that does not allow them to remain healthy and active. The intervention programs are available to provide knowledge for how this issue can be resolved, but there is a lack of attention of children and parents towards this (Voigt, Nicholls and Williams 212). Food and physical activity of children are important in maintaining and ensuring a healthy and happy life. The problem is in the marketing and promotion of this issue to the target audience that needs improvement. The intervention programs should be changed in a way that should attract children to maintain their physical health (Hudson and Viner 5).
Additional Research Questions: (minimum of three [3]): 1. Why children and their families are not realizing the consequences of obesity?
2. What type of changes is required in the existing intervention program policies?
3. Is there any effective marketing strategy to give awareness to the targeted audience?
Audience: The target audience for this study is children and their families, schools, intervention program providers, policy makers, doctors and healthcare institutions, and healthcare authorities. The issue is related to health of new generation and their career, so it is essential to target a large number of audiences.
Methodology (How): The research will be conducted by using primary and secondary research. Past studies will be used to determine the factors relevant to the topic. The extracted factors will be used in the preparation of questionnaire for doctors and professionals of a healthcare organization. The questionnaire will contain few questions regarding obesity and its effects on children health. The information collected from the primary research can provide help in determining the importance of the issue and its consequences on a new generation. Also, the questionnaire will also ask questions regarding the changes required in the existing intervention programs.
