As a child growing up, I was always drawn towards helping those in need whether it included volunteering at nursing homes, running errands for the elderly or babysitting children in my community. After high school, I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business degree with a concentration in Management and went on to work at North Shore LIJ University Hospital. While I’m currently employed in the hospital’s accounts receivable department, I have now arrived at a place in my life and my career where I want to continue my studies by earning a Master of Health Sciences degree at Touro University Worldwide [TUW].
Earlier childhood experiences helped me to decide at a tender age that I wanted to work in a hospital environment doing something to improve the quality of life of others. Working in the accounts receivable department at North Shore LIJ University Hospital has allowed me to work in a hospital, but furthering my education by earning a Master of Health Science, with a concentration in Health Educator, at TUW will allow me improve my career trajectory at my present employer. In other words, the degree will qualify me to occupy positions that involve a hands-on role in helping people to live their lives more fully.
As well, I’ve decided to apply to study at TUW because of the institution’s commitment to excellence, affordable tuition, financial assistance and courteous admissions staff. If accepted to study at this quality institution of higher learning, I will make the most of the chance to achieve a goal I have set for myself because I share TUW’s commitment to knowledge, opportunity and success.
