In my organization, the general manager ordered all the employees to work for an extra hour for the duration of two months to overcome a heavy workload within the organization without any pay. The manager did not consult all the stakeholders of the organization especially the employees. Consequently, this led to conflict between the employees and the manager. The employees expressed their concern by saying that the decision was good, but it happen since he did not consult them and they are not ready to work overtime without any compensation

The lasting solution to such an issue is for the management to make sure that all the stakeholders take part in the decision-making process. The changing world environment gives every person an opportunity to exercise his or her rights.
