The article is centred on the Florida court and the administration of justice in these tribunals. The Florida court system is faced with various challenges that are as a result of planning issues, delivery of justice mandates, and modernisation of the current judicial system and administration of the judiciary. Several barriers are faced by the court system in the effecting of justice in the state, and some of the key concerns include the absence of information, complexities of situations and communication barriers among others according to strategic planning (2016). These barriers amongst other obstacles that stem from the administration of justice are some of the problems faced by the institution. Strategic planning is fundamental in this case scenario as this is the process through which define objectives will be set to solve the issue of the organization and the parameters put in place to solve the issues according to Richard (2013). Having initially envisioned the goals allows for the organizations’ management to set their operational parameters by their target. The harmonization of all related stakeholders’ interests’ works to ensure that all resources and priorities are focussed and directed towards a common goal thus coordination of different activities as stated by Dredjer (2002). Sub-optimization of various diverse operational activities at the expense of the organization’s primary goal leads to wastage of resources.
Having necessitated the need for set specific objectives for the organizational aspect such as meeting its core mandate will push the responsible individuals to strive hard to achieve them while improving effectiveness as stated by Richard (2013). This will create a vision driven working atmosphere that will be set to achieve, which is the right attitude to succeed.
Strategic planning allows for an organization to foresee future opportunities and threats, thus enabling them to make prior appropriate decisions. In our case scenario foresight of future barriers and the current barriers can be met through prior planning to meet the obstacles of communication according to strategic planning (2016). This comes about through employing managerial intuition, organized collection and evaluation of data which allows projection of future situations. Preparations and readiness for future events enable the establishment of long-termed objectives with reduced uncertainties.
Strategic planning is an essential constituent of management, which cannot be disentangled from other managerial aspects such as organizing, motivating, directing and controlling. It is important to evaluate an organization’s performance, which is an indicator of the general course of organization as stated by Dredjer (2002). A strategic plan provides the basis for measuring performance in both quantitative and qualitative capacities. Appropriate correctional procedures can then be pursued by the management to achieve desired outcomes.
