CNN newscasters reported that pressure cooker bombs were exploded during the activity of the Boston marathon at 2.49 pm. The bombing of the Boston marathon had a great impact in the United States. The bombing led to the death of three people. Because of the bombing, the conservative members of congress in the United States had a chance to put up their arguments about gun control (Straw, Joseph; Ford, Bev; McShane, Lawrence 9). The bombing led to a man hunting operation that was carried out by the United States forces in the city of Boston. During that time, the people living in Boston city were urged to remain in their homes as the city was shut down. Because of the Boston bombing, a reform was made in the immigration policy of the United States. This was done because immigrants who were from Islamic religion that is located in western Asia did the bombing (Carter, Chelsea J.; Botelho, Gregory 7). The bombing of the Boston marathon led to changes in the operation of the FBI and the police officers. The congress wanted to know if enough manpower that had been dedicated to the Boston event. This affected the operation and functioning of the officers in the future. These were breaking news, as they were not planned. At the time of the news, I was with my family having lunch. Osama was a threat to the Americans, but his death was significant as it showed the followers and supporters of Osama that he was not invincible (Randal, Jonathan 13). The news was aired in the morning as I was preparing to go to school. At the time of the news, we were in the house with brothers and sisters.
