Illegal immigration is illegal and bad
Ladies and gentlemen, how are you? It is my hope that the information that I am going to provide on illegal immigration is helpful to you all and to our policy makers. The debate on immigration has been going on for some time now. There are those opposing it while others have a soft spot on the whole issue. Let us analysis the disadvantages of illegal immigration to our society. To begin with, one wonders when and why an illegal thing should be debated while the illegality is still occurring. Is possible for something illegal like illegal immigration to be good? Ladies and gentlemen, I have no doubt in my mind that what is illegal has some far reaching negative effects and, therefore, cannot be tolerated. Our land ought to abide by laws it makes, and the international laws. Such makes illegal immigration bad even without qualification.
However, it is worth highlighting some of the consequences of allowing foreigners and aliens to flood into our country. First, our cities and towns are getting such a large influx of foreigners leading to difficulties in the service industry (CBO, 2007). Do the legal occupants of these cities deserve poor service because of aliens? Do the legal residents deserve crowded bus stops and hospitals as well as schools? Is it not stealing from the owners what they built when the aliens were not there? Ladies and gentlemen, it may sound harsh, but it is the reality of the matter. The legal residents do not deserve such at all.
The foreigners have deprived our mother land the glory that was once there and are continually making our lives difficulty. Moreover, the legal implications of foreigners are many in the event the illegal immigrants commit crimes. Never mind crime is good to the illegal immigrant as it is a sure way of identifying them from the general public. The criminal activities sieves them and isolates them in a way that makes many dread been arrested. However, the crime is “good” only if the person is arrested! Consider a situation whereby one gets involved into criminal activities, and as they came, they disappear back into their mother country! The cases are almost lost leading to large losses on the part of our country. The process of getting back such a person for trial is long and may not yield any fruits.
In addition, crime levels tend to increase as many illegal immigrants do not have work permits. What then do they do to survive? They get into black market, doing all what is illegal and perpetuating their illegal presence. Such ought to have made our law makers and policy makers boiling mad! But what do we get? Some human rights stories here and there with total disregards of the human right of the residents. Such makes the illegal immigrant sticks to our cities like wax statues and do what is illegal with impunity. They terrorize our cities, mug and even murder our people and disappear into thin air. Extending an olive branch to illegal immigrants is stamping illegality and total disregard of our laws.
The economy of our country is hurt by the presence of the illegal immigrants. Although some people argue that these illegal immigrants provide cheap labor (Gordron H. Hanson, 2009), it is worth noting that cheap is expensive. What is the point of giving one a job yet he or she does not even pay taxes? Who is stealing from the other? The working opportunities are reserved for the legal residents, and therefore, if the illegal immigrant grab the opportunities with the cheap labour, where do the legal citizens go? They have no option other than to tolerate or possibly do what they do best complain, complain, and complain to the authorities who tend to turn a blind eye on all these issues. It is evident that in the near future, the legal citizens may have no place to work or in the worst case scenarios, they shall be working for the illegal immigrant, thanks to the hard work some of the illegal immigrants show. Such by extension may lead total take over the cities both socially and economically. My heart is broken such imaginations, our culture, our pride, our dignity shall have gone to the dogs right in front of us if there are no actions, quick actions are taken.
Last but not least, ladies and gentlemen, what makes the problem of illegal immigrations a perennial problem? It is because the immigrants are given free landing and some indirect freedom that encourages others to want to try even if it means dying, to come into our country. They know they are ‘welcome’ at least by the “native” illegal immigrants those that have lived in our country for long that they presume citizenship. They work without paying taxes, have access to facilities and can live a better live than the natives all of which is immoral.
As I conclude, there are no positive benefits that can come from an illegality. It is an abuse of the integrity of our people, our judicial systems, and our moral standing to accept illegal immigrants to gather from where they did not spread and make merry in the expense of ourselves.
