Differences between business requirements and design requirements
It is true that business requirements differ with design requirements in the context of network upgrading. Is it possible to state the manner in which the two differ? Do they differ conceptually? The reason for upgrading the network is to ensure that the business is in a position to keep pace with technological changes (Jacoby, 2005). It is undeniable that business requirements focus on what the business requires, and what impact would the upgrade has on the business while the design requirements are concerned with the mechanisms of achieving some business objectives. Apart from differentiating the two on the basis of what each entails, could there be another way of expounding their differences? Listing examples of each is an ideal way of differentiating between business and design requirements. When you say that design requirements are technical, do you mean there is nothing technical in business requirements?
Why it is important to use modular approach for designing a network
Unquestionably, the use of the modular method to design a network entails numerous advantages. It makes a network simpler and help to solve various complexities associated with some of the networks used by organizations (Barksdale, 1986). It is true to argue that the modularization of networks helps to solve some network problems because the modules used can be repaired or replaced. I agree that it is possible to anticipate some network problems if the modular approach is not used during network design due to limitations of the method used, but the question might be if no problem occurs when the modular approach is used, does it mean that the method has no faults? Can we say that this approach has no any limitation merely because it has numerous advantages? If on the other hand, the anticipated problems occur, can we say that the limitations of using the modular approach have surpassed the benefits?
