Sometimes people are searching long time for a place where they will feel comfortable. It depends on many factors. Memories are too important. In my opinion, if something bad happens in the house where you live it will be hard to stay there longer. The same thing happened with the author of the story. After her parents, divorced house where she lived with her parents became prison for a little girl. People can create a mood of places. No matter where you live. People who live around you are important. First piece"yellow house" is a good example of this. Every place has a story. This is the story about memories, events and people who lived at this place before.
After that “yellow house” their family moved to another city, with a beautiful house and new neighbors. However, that place was too crowded. There are was many memories with that house. Unfortunately, it did not become a new home. Later they found a place, which they would call "home".
I liked the comparison with chickens. Author tells us the story about chickens from her neighborhood. They lived in the chicken house surrounded by dogs. Their wings were clipped, so they cannot fly. She compares them with her family. Finally, when she found a place, which she could call “home” she said, “enough space so we will never live like the chickens again”.
I would suggest leaving paper in original. Do not change anything. The story seems to be autobiographical. The story conveys all those strong feelings that the author experienced at his life. That is impressive.
