The Carmichael Community Park is located in Nassau, the capital and the largest city of the Bahamas.
The park is a beautiful hub of activity for people of all age groups. Most of the people come here with their children in the evenings and enjoy their time in the park. It is a fully-equipped park with great lighting and a number of features. Some of the facilities include a tennis court, a volleyball court, two basketball courts, baseball and a softball area as well. Youngsters enjoy coming here in their free time as they love playing various sports games with their friends in the park.
A children’s playground is also there which consists of swings, a slide, playing sand pit, and a seesaw. It is a great fun place for children to play with other young children of their age.
An amenity block is also centrally located in the park. A bathroom is available that includes toilets and wash basins. There is an indoor room available in the park that is mainly used for the meetings held within the groups of people. Another room is available which is specifically used for sewing classes and is mostly used by the female group who are interested in learning to stitch.
Apart from this, there is also a negative side of the park, which is not good for the people’s health and the environment. Most of the young people come to the park to wash their cars and others come to eat their lunch. This is polluting the environment of the park as the people; mostly throw their rubbish on the ground itself, rather than throwing it in trash bins provided everywhere. Stray dogs can be seen easily in the park, which is also one of the reasons for the lack of interest of people in the park. They dig into the trash bins and make the area dirty by throwing the rubbish here and there.
