The ESPN X Game is considered as one of the important event in the sports. It includes many games such as Rally Cross, FMS, BMX, free skiing, surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding. The X Games brings the top talent in definite gaming competition that brings intense action to live.
Perceived quality refers to the perception of customers regarding the overall superiority or quality of a service or product that suits its intended purpose as compared to its alternatives (Study marketing). X Games has a good perceived quality in the eyes of its customers. According to Chi, the brand X Games has greatly travelled across many cultures that have undoubtedly guaranteed its coverage and attention from international media (Chi). Moreover, its increased perceived quality in the minds of customers has provided X Games to increase the visibility of the brand and the events. The main factor that has contributed to its positive perceived quality among customers is different levels of games and awesome graphics. In addition, the quality of the video with audio makes a customer to feel like being a part of the actual game and athlete. The customers of X Games find it perfect and felt like they got more than what they had paid for. Besides this, the customers find tickets of the event easily available and affordable to make their day (Tickets Master). In addition, the continuous up gradation in the X game every year with addition or removal of players and games has kept interest of the teens and younger kids.
In a nutshell, the graphics, video, audio, availability of ticket, many different games that suits customer’s interest are the contributing factors to the increased and created positive perceived quality of the ESPN X Games.
