The institutional affiliation
1. The question about correct or incorrect behavior has constantly worried humans. It is evident that philosophical or theological beliefs have always tried to clarify this issue. In the following essay, it will be examined the determination of how different religious worldviews see the pattern of the rightness and truth.
With about one billion followers Hinduism specifies that individuals are solely responsible for their actions and the way they elect to direct their lives. It provides them an absolute freedom to act in accordance with the immanent essence and nature and to investigate their spiritual world in order to achieve the absolute Truth about themselves and their being. However, the absolute freedom means living a life with a substantial sense of responsibility. Hinduism emphasizes that a person should live morally and responsibly taking into account one’s Dharma. It is important to note that Dharma is something you were born with and at the same time the most important of all duties (Hinduwebsite.com, 2016). As a result, a person who intentionally chooses to live a wrong way of life will undergo the consequences of his/her own actions.
The essential point which is worth distinguishing is that Christians believe that ethics are impeccably based on the nature of God. The Christian claims a stated and transcendent ethic order that controls creation that is ingrained in the validity of God’s existence. To be more exact, it is an eternal unseen moral order. Though, it is more actual and workable than our physical world. Christians acknowledge unprejudiced moral absolutes that give a determined standard of justice (Defendchristians.org, 2016). They lie in constant nature of God which is above and beyond of a human. It seems clear that the moral law is a framework of all people.
As every religion, Islam has its own history, texts, laws, philosophy and denominations. In addition, Muslims have "pillars of the religion" which are five basic obligatory acts in Islam: the testimony of faith, prayer, giving, fasting and pilgrimage. Muslims believe that a human can deserve an entrance to the heaven through keeping those Five Pillars. Nevertheless, there is no practical difference between law and ethics in Islam. Mohammed is the irreproachable example of morality in the ethical Muslim life. The key point is that morality is anything Mohammed did, disregarding how immoral it may be rated by any other norms or principles. Actually, Islam claims that their moral standards are obtained from God in a way that is similar to Christians.
In its turn, Buddhism shows that the practical side of the right action is desisting from taking life, thievery and illicit sexual intercourse. Properly acting in Buddhism indicates a person who abstains from those three wrong actions on a mental level in order to keep the mind holy (Hinduwebsite.com, 2016). This leads to earthly growth and blessing outcomes.
In contrary, it is interesting to speculate on the postmodernism’s skepticism to morality. Postmodernists believe that there is no absolute Truth. They deny God and any unbiased or permanent moral principles. Everyone does what his/her society commands at the present time via diverse forms of compulsion. Postmodernism initiates a new sphere where right and wrong can vary upon the situation. It could not be argued that there is no veritable morality because all justifications are based on progress and circular reasoning. The postmodernist’s method is to investigate every situation as if it is exceptional and unrelated to any other. Postmodernists are induced to try to persuade people that their evolutionary worldview is proper and should be inherited by every human (Defendchristians.org, 2016).
It is difficult to escape the conclusion that behaving correctly will remain a debatable issue. Each and every person has own his/her standards, principles and beliefs which should be followed.
2. ISIS is the reality of the world in which we live today. ISIS names itself an Islamic State and claims to operate its area on the strength of Shari’a law that is used to give explanations for its terrorist acts. However, some people believe that ISIS uses religion as a cover to conceal their political program.
The great majority of the world’s Muslims, including both religious and political commanders, has denied the conception of Islam like ISIS. Besides, in Islamic State and its related organizations this strict and literal interpretation of the scripture does not concede to the five pillars of Islam which were held by Muslims throughout the centuries. There is an evidence of terrifying acts undertaken by ISIS which explain the break of concrete Quranic verses and the doctrine of the Prophet Muhammad (Hunt, 2016). In any case, currently we are left with both war and politics.
In order to fully understand the issue, it would be appropriate to conduct a sensible process of researching the Quran, the words and speeches of the Prophet Muhammad analyzing the wisdom of other religions, well-established habits and traditions, and even the organic world. Only the act of reasonable discovery could completely authorize the God’s will. People should see Islam not as a cause of the problem, but as a part of its solution. The deliberate goal of the people worldwide is to restrain other Muslims from affiliation to ISIS or sustaining it financially.
Events show that minds of people must be re-established in the way which will delete an environment of violence. Many people of different beliefs view Muslims only in negative images. Thus, it is important to discontinue the extremists to designate the faith of those people. In this way, we will discover the finale of fear there.
