Egyptian art has been appreciated across the globe mainly because of the fact that it has influenced art in many different ways. One important aspect of Egyptian art is that it has survived thousands of years and depicts different aspects of the Egyptian people that have influenced people’s way of living throughout the world. Most of the Egyptian art has been from monuments and tombs and this has facilitated its survival for many years. Ancient Egyptians have been considered as one of the most advanced in the world with many of its aspect such as way of life, religion and beliefs becoming fascinations to many and has gone as far as inspiring its own study field, this showing influential it is (ANCIENT EGYPTIAN ART AND ART OBJECTS, 2014).
One aspect that the Egyptian art greatly depicts is instruction about life in the afterlife as well as knowledge used in the past life that has been preserved through the art forms. And because of the fact that the Egyptian civilization as well as the art has survived for so long, a lot of knowledge has been preserved, knowledge dating thousands of years back. The art forms showed depictions of the everyday lives of the people of Egypt, with symbols of animals, people, tools, jewellery and gods. These depictions and knowledge was important as instructions when people died and they would the knowledge in the afterlife. The Egyptian art incorporates a lot of symbolism in its form. Aspects such as size of figures were important to symbolize power for example gods were depicted by having large size. Another aspect is colour which symbolized different roles of people in the Egyptian community, for example the colour blue symbolized divinity while red symbolized youths that worked hard in the society. It is therefore clear that Egyptian art is one of the most important art forms in the world and has greatly influenced art on a major scale (Egypt: Art and Architecture, 2014).
The Egyptian art has become what it is because of the many influences it has undergone over the many years it survived. One source of its influence is religion. Egyptian religion was a very crucial part of their lives and this aspect greatly influenced their art forms. An example is the many depictions of Egyptian gods on the monuments and tombs. Egyptian gods are depicted using lots of divinity associated with aspects of large size and colour to show their power as gods. Another aspect of religion that has influenced their art is the preserving of information about life which could help individuals when they meet the gods in the afterlife. This factor greatly influenced the art and resulted to development of many art pieces in the tombs and monuments giving various forms of instructions (ANCIENT EGYPTIAN ART AND ART OBJECTS, 2014).

The Egyptian history has also been a big influence on its art. The significance of the Nile for the people of Egypt has sustained them for millennia and developed their history as an empire for many years. The development into an advanced society is as a result of the thriving of agriculture in the area sustained by the Nile. Egypt is a dry area but had food security thanks to water availability from the Nile. Their rich history is very much depicted in the hieroglyphics in the stones and other symbolic art forms in the monuments and tombs. The Egyptian culture is another source of influence on the style and art forms. One aspect is their great use of papyrus reeds that are common along the river Nile. These reeds were greatly used in the development of the art forms. Another important aspect involves the role of women in the society. One characteristic of women in Egypt was that they had lots of independence legally and financially and this is greatly depicted in Egyptian arts through the use of bright colour to symbolize importance in the society. Another culture is the use of the river Nile for agricultural production. This aspect has been very influential in the development of Egyptian art with instructions on fishing methods and agricultural methods (ANCIENT EGYPTIAN ART AND ART OBJECTS, 2014).
Egyptian art is very important art that has greatly influenced art forms on a global sale. This is because of the fact that it contains information and knowledge about the Egyptian society and civilization that has survived many years. The Egyptian civilization has been considered as one of the most advanced in the world and most of the information about culture, religion and their history has been preserved through the various art forms. The art forms have been influenced by many factors that influenced the lives of the Egyptian people and they included the religion, history culture as well as their political systems. One important aspect is the fact that most of the art provide instructions about daily activities that would be useful in the afterlife (Egypt: Art and Architecture, 2014).
The Egyptian art and style is unique and very influential on a global and has created a lot of fascination in the world. This is because of the level of sophistication and efforts put in these art forms. The art forms are a depiction of their daily lives. The Egyptian art topic was very interesting with a lot of information about the Egyptian culture.
