As a person who likes to complete this type of assessments, I was pleased. Three short assessments were interesting for me and it took few minutes to pass them.
First of all I am glad that I have no reasons for concern about marijuana as I do not use it at all. So it is natural that I have replied “no” to all the questions. Also, I do not have any friends who could be consumers of this drug. That gave me another reason to be proud of myself and love my friends even more.
The second assessment was about alcohol abuse. It did not have so many questions as the first one, but I was disturbed by the results. It appeared that me and my friend have to re-consider usage of alcohol. Personally, I replied “yes” only to one question, but it does not make me feel safe. It may be only beginning and if I do not stop to drink alcohol on special events or family holiday, the portion can grow and it can turn into the abuse in the future. Of course, maybe I just took it too serious, but this assessment made me think about what am I doing with my health and where it can lead me. It impressed me and I will try to convince my friend to take care about him as well.
As for the last assessment, my answer was that “it would be desirable but not imperative, that an individual be a nonsmoker”. I learned that approximately 10 people out of 30 support my opinion. I do not like when people smoke in bars, clubs, in the crowded places. It is a choice of every person and I do not want someone to decide instead of me. Passive smoking causes harm on the health of passive smoker and I do not want to be sick because of somebody’s way of life. But smoking does not make another person worse or the one that does not deserve friendship or warm feelings. That is why I am fine if my friend smokes until he understand my wish not to inhale the second hand smoke.
