Personal Statement
While working at Verizon Wireless as a sales representative since August 2008, I have realized that it’s high time I moved up the ladder to a management position. I hold a BA in Italian from Montclair State University. I have been on my own, providing everything for myself since I was nineteen years old, and have been blessed to accomplish every goal that I have ever set.
My love for technology is endless as I believe that it is a tool that facilitates all aspects of life (O’Loughlin 34). I’m an achiever in whatever I put my mind into which is almost everything I do. My employment record and professional experience started at AT &T Mobility in Parsippany, New Jersey where I held the position of National Account Executive and Retail Sales Executive from September 2005 to February 2008. From there I joined Marketsource Incorporated in March 2008 as a Nokia account Representative until August 2008. From then to date I am working with Verizon Wireless currently as a Retail Sales Representative.
Some of the major achievements include maintaining 110% of total sales quota for the whole of 2010 and the first quota of 2011. I received NY Metro Q4 2009 Race to the Finish award. I had the privilege of training all T-Mobile sales representatives on new Nokia devices before every launch. Through determination I maintained a 120% monthly sales quota and 150% sales quota for 2007 and 2006 respectively. I was ranked among the top 5 sales consultants in total sales for NYC region in June 2006 after which I got a promotion to National Accounts Executive in January 2008.
I am a self motivated individual, who is a skilled interpersonal communicator and problem solver with the ability to multi-task and be an effective team player. I am also an award winner backed up with five years experience in the telecommunications industry. Through focus and determination I earned a 3.1 GPA and 15-18 credits per semester while managing a full-time job. I cannot wait to apply my skills and dedication at Boston University while taking Online MS in Project Management.
