Rafael Edwards Ted Cruz was born in the year 1970 in Calgary, Canada to Rafael Cruz and Eleanor Darragh. Rafael Cruz was an immigrant from Cuba to the United States. Ted Cruz attended his school at Faith West Academy in Texas, and joined Second Baptist High School in Houston where he graduated. In the year 1992, Ted Cruz graduated from Princeton University for Cum Laude, and also attended Harvard law school in 1995 and graduated on Magma Cum Laude. . As a matter of factor, Ted Cruz is believed to be one of the proven conservative fighters in United States. Ted Cruz parents are known as Heidi Cruz and Rafael Cruz. Heidi Cruz has worked as investment banker in New York, in White house under Condoleezza Rice, and currently she is the head of South Region on issues of Investment Management Division. Ted Cruz has risen from all odds to be one of the Senators in United States, and for him sky is the limit since his friends and family have mentioned is focus on the presidency.
In the year 2012, Ted Cruz became the 34th United States Senator from Texas through election. It is worth noting that Ted Cruz is known to be a passionate senator and a fighter on various issues in United States. Ted Cruz serves on the committee on commerce, Science and Transportation, of which he is an influential figure in the committee. Before Senator Ted Cruz was elected he received a national approbation as the Solicitor General in Texas, as well as the chief lawyer in the United States Supreme Court. In this case, he became the youngest individuals to serve as the solicitor general, as well as the first individual from Hispanic community to be a solicitor general in the state of Texas (Ceaser, 2013).

As a Senator he focuses on improving the life’s of the people by enhancing freedom and economic development. The battle for Ted Cruz is very important, especially in preserving an American dream.
One of his political positions in United States and the State of Texas is to support gun-rights. In March this year, Ted Cruz announced that he would be against any legislation that championed gun control. The gun control legislation would have an impact in the gun rights since it will lead to background checks on sale and use of guns. The republicans, Ted Cruz included brought down the Manchin-Toomey Amendments. Since he was sworn in as the senator he has faced a lot of challenges in trying to transform Texas and United States. He battled with Senator Dianne on issues of gun control (Brown, 2013).
Senator Ted Cruz work is also significant in the State of Texas. Cruz as the senator helps the residents of Texas to cut through the red tape, answer various questions on federal agencies, and solve the problems. The essence of the federal agency program is to help people make decisions on various issue of development. The students in Texas have also benefited from Senator Cruz Internship Program (Ceaser, 2013). This presents a unique and important opportunity to students to have firs hand experience in working for the congress. The program has established summer sessions for full semester internship for students. It is available in Dallas, San Antonio, Washington D.C, as wee as Austin.
Senator Ted Cruz has one of the best voting records in the history of Texas and united state. Based on the roll call votes since January 2013, Ted Cruz only missed 3, which is a 1.8%. This is actually far much better in the record of the current senators. In addition, studies show that Senator Cruz was voted in despite it being his first time in a senior political seat. Since the rumor began on his bid for presidency, Ted Cruz has continues to be famous and popular among the people of Texas and United States (Parker, 2013). It is evident that Senator Cruz has the best voting record, this is because since he was elected he has always been in the losing side. The perfect record of the senator surpasses that of Tim Scott, Mike Lee and Marco Rubio. Senator Ted Cruz is against abortion, war in Afghanistan, income tax increase, gun restrictions, and federal regulation on green house gases (Danielson, 2013). Inevitably, Senator Ted Cruz will be standing of unnecessary spending, and ineffective bills.
Apart from advocating for gun rights, Ted Cruz is also against the immigration bill that was in the Senate Judiciary Committee. According to ted Cruz, the immigration bill should not be discussed and passed in closed doors like the Obamacare bill. The immigration bill should be passed if it focuses on fixing a broken system. The bill should not escalate the problems on the nation. Ted Cruz objected various provisions in the bill and stated the parts of the bill that require amendments. Basically, there are approximately 11 million illegal immigrants, and the bill seems to be worsening the situation. Senator Ted asserts that American people expect the government to end various aspects of lawlessness (Parker, 2013). There should be immigration reforms that states clearly on border security and a crucial immigration system that operates properly. In the future, Ted Cruz aims at softening the immigration laws and making them work for the best of the American people. Ted Cruz advocates for bill that will ensure that African American rate of unemployment goes down, Hispanic unemployment go down, legal immigrant unemployment go down, and union household unemployment go up. In real sense, Ted Cruz advocates for the passing of amendments that ill fix the Gang of Eight Legislation (Foley, 2013). In fact, Sen. Ted Cruz decided to blast Gang of Eight immigration Reform Bill and Pro-Abortion protestors.
Senator Cruz is one of the conservative senators who are gunning for nomination. In fact, based on the actions and positions that the senator take in the senate it is clear that noting will deter him from being the best and bold leader that United States needs. The senator asserts that domestic bases should be the key factor. In this case, Senator Cruz is focuses in ensuring that domestic military installations come first before foreign installations. The prioritization of military spending need to be realistic; this is achieved through reduction of oversees footprint. There are various amendments that were raised by Ted Cruz that has been adopted (Mayer, 2013). For example, in the future domestic BRAC will always be barred by the law. In addition, the defense has been formally updated and oversees military bases reviewed.
In conclusion, Ted Cruz seems to be the next biggest leader in the history of United States. The role that he plays in the congress has always been driven by the urge to change the view of United States. In fact, Ted has been assigned important committee in United States senate and holds various leadership positions. Statistics show that, in the past five years Ted Cruz has the best voting record on critical issues, and through his efforts many bills have been sponsored into law.
