Among other Ares of expertise that Eric Marlowe is certified at, he is considered as one of the top leading sexuality counsellor, trainer, author, international consultant, mentor, and teacher in a number of fields related to sexology (eDrug). Through programs such as sexual education to students seeking higher education, Marlowe can connect with students concerning sex issues. For almost twenty years, he has been able to promote healthy relationships amongst people of all ages. Some of the people and institutions that he deals with include: hospitals, sexual clinics, individual couples colleges, athletic teams, departments offering health services, the nations armed services, universities and organisations among others (Joannides, pp67). Through interviews, lectures and plan sit-downs, Marlowe can influence how people look at sex as a subject. Marlowe is also known for training lawyers, the military, police officers, civilians and investigators among others on forensic sexology. Some of the subjects that he teaches include sexual homicide, autoerotic deaths, stalking, rape, and jealous partner’s mentality.
One of his most recognised cases to date on forensic sexology is Newman verses US in 2010nthat he appeared in as an expert before the army court martial. Some of the benefits that come along with attending his lectures on sexology include better communication among partners through body language and words, being able to deal with rape trauma (Eagly, 120). Other benefits also include, being able to set rules that help a relationship, social skills among cross genders, benefits of safe sex, increasing sexual attraction between couples and learning how to plan families to meet social needs. According to an interview with GAYRVA, one of the cases that most of his clients have is how to enhance their sexual pleasure. In his interview, Eric talks on how important it is for partners to learn each other’s body in order to help increase the sexual desire amongst them (GAYRVA). He states clearly that through his guidance as a sexual peer he has been able to introduce safe sex that is fun for couples (eDrug).
I am glad that I have this opportunity to express my thoughts on some of the issues concerning sexuality peep.
- One of the main reason behind me choosing sexuality peep as a profession is because I felt that, as a subject, sex was not well expounded. I particularly think that as a subject in institutions and average couples, sex has not been well approached.
- Personally, I think that Eric has done a good job of educating people of about sex as a subject. One of the facts that I love most about his work and his personality is that he has diversified sex as a subject in that he approaches in many angles from a personal angle to a security angle.
- What surprised me most about Eric is his ability to take sex and turn it to a wholly different subject altogether, his ability to study sex as law and in a personal level is amazing.
- One of the most relevant contributions that I can attest to is his case in 2010 involving Newman and the US army. The way he tackled the case, appearing as a witness expert was very significant. It opened doors to studying sex as a forensic expert.
- Personally, I think his single status conflicts with his work since he advises couples yet he is not in any relationship.
- What influence will understanding sex have in forensics? Forensic experts can benefit a lot from learning the traits of a sexual offender since they will be able to reduce the number of rape cases that go unsolved.
