Sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV/Aids, STDs and others have been a big challenge in our communities. Many of the community have got a big number of people suffering such infections. Admittedly, the community and the government end up spending much on HIV/Aids, STDs and optimistic infection treatments (Holden, n.d). Such funds could be placed in better use such as in the agriculture projects, transports and so on. Additionally, many victims of HIV/Aids and other sexually transmitted diseases are the energetic youths who gets weak to even help in any project. In short, the sexually transmitted diseases reduces the overall number of working people and hence lowers the net production (Education as a Factor Raising HIV Rates, n.d). In this respect, it is significant to come up with a program that help to prevent such diseases to help the community and the Sates at large out of the problem.
Responses to Questions
Research to be conducted
What can colleges and other learning institutions do to aid in HIV and STD prevention campaign?
The role of the school in supporting HIV and STD testing.
The help of CDC
Databases that can help in this Research
Every research have got a specific area of information. For this one, it is advisable to use the health databases to access information on the diseases and their prevention means. Organizations such as WHO and other provide proved information on almost all infections and the researched means of prevention (HIV/AIDS: Global Frontiers in Prevention/Intervention, 2008). This means that getting information from those sites will enable the researchers to have a background of the causes and the prevention means. Additionally, since the research is to narrow down to the learning institutions, getting more information on how learning is varied out on learning sites and colleges websites can also be of great importance.
Applying the Finding
Once the research is done, the data corrected in terms of research questions and questionnaires will be analyzed for application purposes. Once the root causes of sexual engagement is known, then next thing will be to use the finding to come up with ways of countering the causes. For instance, if having more leisure time in found to be among the main causes such sexual engagements, a good way of prevention would be on how to keep the students busy. Another helpful mean would be teaching them on the dangers they get into when they practice such intercourses (Psychology Research, n.d).
Ethical Consideration
Every research should show some ethical considerations through acknowledging those who helped in the research. All the borrowed sources should be well cited and the bodies consulted acknowledged too. This is one factor that makes a research both viable and applicable. To conclude, having passed through the discussed process, there is a likelihood of coming up with helpful ways of HIV and STD prevention.
