People value art; they value the originality and identity of every art piece whether a building or any other designed piece or art. When and artists design an artistic piece, and it is designed or erected in a particular place, there is always a reason for that. Once a piece of art is removed from its original place, it loses its originality or its symbolism. There is always a close relation between a completed piece of art situated in a certain place and the location; this is what brings about the history and relevance of an artifact, and without this the art work misses some of its relevance.
There are a number of factors to consider before claiming that a piece of art is site specific, one of the most crucial issues is the relation between the location and the art piece, if there is no close relation then it should not be considered to be site specific. If the art work meets the criteria of being referred as art specific, it should not be removed from its original position. A piece of art can be made unique by where it is relocated depending on the concept that an artist or architect had in mind, if this is not the case, then it can be moved to another location. However, in many cases, this is a rarely done artwork may it be a house or any other piece of work, in most cases there is a close relationship between where it is located and the environment around it. Relocating an artistic piece can cause damage to its which makes it loose its originality after repairs. Some of the renowned artists are not alive and relocating their work would show disrespect to their art work. Before claiming that a piece of work is site specific or not, it is essential to do a background check.
