Skill building training refers to enhance the skills of the employees to work efficiently for the organization. Learning new things could boost up the performance of the employees due to the interest in learning and developing their skills in their respective fields. Samsung is the multinational company that has large number of employees working in it. The company offers training programs for its employees. There is a need to make improvements in the existing program of the company and boost up the morale of the employees . To achieve the goal of develop skills; the company has to include following things in their skill building training program.

Prepare them by giving additional responsibilities and tasks.
Above mentioned recommendations will improve the skill building training program of the company by offering them new learning opportunities. The skills could be developed by allowing employees to get experience from the seniors of the company.
Cross-Training
Human resource planning is one of the most important departments of any organization and at Samsung this department plays a vital role in improving the performance of the employees as well as the organization. To make improvements in the Human resource department, Samsung adopts Cross- Training Programs for its employees.
The cross- training program at Samsung is widely done because of its numerous benefits. The employees are trained to do various types of jobs so that they are able to work in different departments. It increases the performance of the employees as the employees are able to perform various functions of the operational activities and can replace another person whenever it is required to do so. There are two main benefits of cross- training which are increase in the morale of the employees and high performance of the organization. The morale of the employees is increased because they do not get frustrated by performing the same functions every day. They learn new skills and gain confidence about their work. They do not hesitate in accepting new challenges of the organization. Cross-training is beneficial for the organization in several ways because in case of unexpected absence of an employee the work is not affected much because other employees are trained to do the work. As the work is not affected, the performance of the organization increased.
Samsung also provides a training program called ‘Regional Specialist Program’ in which the employees are sent to another region for training. The employees are well trained according to the market needs of other countries so that they are capable of performing tasks at that region efficiently. It is very effective and beneficial for the employees as they gain experience of the new markets and it helps them in being successful in the organization.
The improvements will lead the company to gain trust of the employees and retain them for a long time. Opportunities will cope up the skills and abilities of the employees and they would be able to deliver more to the company. The employees will deliver more to the organization and the position of the company will become stronger in the market.
