As the name suggests, a four day work week means working for long hours four days a week instead of five days.
Advantages of a four-day work week

Some of the organizations that have embraced this system include the World Bank and many other private organizations which are so far succeeding.
Appeals that could be used to persuade management to adopt a four-day work-week
A manager can be told that working four days a week gives employees time to experience life and think, spend time with the people they love, invest in the causes they believe in, and take up hobbies among others. This allows the employee to be happy and more productive in the four days at work.
Arguments that could be expected when persuading the manager and how I could counter them
The employer might argue that they have customers five days a week hence they cannot implement four days a week work day. In this case, I will tell them that we will surely inform our customers. Secondly, the employer might say that there will be no bonuses hence forth as the extra working day is eliminated. In this case, I will tell him that bonuses can be incorporated in people working late during the period that they are on duty.
Lastly, I would want to have a meeting with management soonest possible so that we discuss the issue of a four day work week in details. Your communication on the date will be highly appreciated.
