Career goals
I would like to work in human in human resource. The career goals I set are supposed to help me move up the ladder professionally. The ultimate goal , I have is becoming an established human resource personnel. I would like to work as a human resource assistant after graduation. The goals that I want to achieve include short term and long term goals (Collins & Kevin 704). The short term goals include creating my professional profile and keeping it updated at all times. Getting to five professional recommendations will help me to develop my human resource management career. I plan to begin working as an intern in human resource management in a year’s time. Working as an intern will involve working part time and during holidays. Internships will help me to boost my profile and make it attractive to potential employers (Collins & Kevin 704).
The long-term goals include reading more broadly about human resource and publishing four articles on the human resource magazine. I also want to broaden my global experience by taking international assignments so that I can understand how other countries conduct business (Collins & Kevin 704). The other goal is to upload an article on human resource and get it downloaded by at least two hundred human resource people. It is to promote my human resource ideas and share ideas with others. I also want to give a talk at a national conference about human resource before I complete my undergraduate studies. The final goal is to develop my HR blog that I have already started. These goals are achievable with time and commitment (Collins & Kevin 704).
Current social networking efforts
I have managed to create a blog on human resource and it is growing at a very fast rate. The blog has helped me to keep in touch with other human resource students and also interact with already practicing human resource professional. Having a MacBook Pro helps me to update my blog at any time and also interact and share with others (Collins & Kevin 705).
Other software
The use of other social networks is crucial in making my blog known. The links are shared through Facebook and twitter to the blog and in this way I am able to get new members to the blog (Collins & Kevin 705). Other people also share the link to my blog. Therefore, the blog does not only benefit me, but other people too. I also email the link to my blog to classmates and friends (Collins & Kevin 705).
Action plan
Working backward from graduation, I would want to meet with other HR professional who are already practicing. The purpose of meeting with other HR professionals is to ensure that I have linkages (Collins & Kevin 705). Linkages will help me to get my articles publishes in the HR magazine; update me on national conferences, job opportunities and many more. I also want to seek for guidance from my mentor and professors so that they can help me in taking my blog to where I would want it to be. The guidance I get from my mentor and professors will help me in achieving these goals with time (Collins & Kevin 705).
Networking profile
I am a human resource graduate who is highly motivated, principled, co-operative, hardworking, committed, and respectful, loves sharing about my profession and always willing to learn more about HR. I have experience in human resource from my internship programs that I have been undertaking. I am easy to interact with and I appreciate every opportunity that I get to improve my skills in human resource.
