1. In my opinion, the Social Disorganization is the best for explaining crime and the criminal behavior, because in my opinion most of the crimes occur because of the disorganized communities, in which there are no behavioral and social traditions, and this pave the way to the creation of the criminal traditions, which is then passed to the youth generation. So, a society with the disorganized social structure provides a land for the criminal activities through the cultural transmission of the criminal values, and lack of the behavioral control mechanism. Further, this theory can be considered as best for describing the crime and criminal behavior as it points out towards a fact that crimes occur in the society due to the lack of the collective efficacy in order to control the crimes, so undesirable behaviors continue to flourish in the society that further lead to the crimes and criminal behaviors.
2. I consider that the costs of the beauty myth for women are more severe or different than those for men, because advertising can be vilified for the creation of and upholding the standard of beauty, in light of which most the girls are taught to consider the worth of their bodies. The sexualized female images are used in order to sell almost all types of products, which is degrading for women, and pave the way to abuse. It, however, reinforces the sexist, and the patriarchal society. Furthermore, there also exists a positive relation between the pornography and the advertising, as said by Kilbourne that the photographers of America are pornographers. Furthermore, the cost of beauty myth for women is more because of the fact that the glowing images of body of women present women as an object, an animal, and a subject that pave the way to the creation of male violence.
3. The documentaries and the clips are effectively painting too bleak a picture of the US public education system. This can be justified from the facts that are mentioned in the videos that the performance of the educational system is quite low as compared to other countries, such as Finland, which is enjoying high literacy rate, and almost zero dropout rates, while the dropout rate of America is very high. the reforms are introduced in the U.S. educational system but a bitter fact is that they are introduced late. Most of the parents of the middle class families are not satisfied with the educational system of the country.
4. Race is a social construction, this argument is indicative of the fact that the idea of the race is produced as a result of the human interactions and thoughts instead of something that have an existence as a material fact of the life o the earth. In my opinion, race is both a cultural and a biological concept. The physical differences are regarded as the reason of the cultural differences. However, the racial groups are ranked differently; some are considered as superior compared to the others. Considering the European rank, which is Europeans are superior to Asians, and Asians are superior to the African and Americans. Furthermore, the biological evolution in the scientific racism of the nineteenth century indicates that the higher races evolve more as well as they fit more to the society.
5. The drugs that once were legal have become illegal in the 20th century because of the harmful effects associated with these drugs. For example, Marijuana was legal, but with the implementation of First Federal Law in 1937, it was declared as illegal, and approximately 20 million people were arrested for using marijuana. This is because the progress in education and research has made evident the harmful effects of marijuana, such as it is reported that hydroquinone is present in marijuana that badly effect lungs as well as brain, distort the perception, suppress the coordination and the control. Such drugs pave the way to the health problems, crime related problems, and the balance related problems. Now, with these facts there is a war on the drugs, and they are now condemned as scourge to the death.
