There are various factors that make a song hit such as lyric, background music, voice of singer, rhythm, musical instruments used in the song and backup vocals. However, According to a research study conducted by USC Marshall & USC Thornton School, Back-up singers are main reason behind success of any song. This research study was conducted on more than two thousand hit songs since 1958 Some artists used all elements required in a song perfectly as per the preference of the audience, whereas others fails to do so which makes some artists part of history book and others not (Otani).
John Lennon’s song ‘9 Dream’ is very well crafted and smooth song that all music lovers like to hear again and again. The song was released in year 1974 as a part of the album ‘Walls and Bridges’. The main inspiration behind the song was a dream that Lennon saw. Lennon write this song as per the influence received in his dream. The song was a hit and inspired by the developments of the contemporary society (Lennon).
