The Space application programmes can be used for extracting solar energy through photo voltaic systems which are predominant in producing current from solar energy. The scanning mechanism provided by the satellites is being used by the scientists and general public to detect and monitor the deforestation rates via emission and reflection from the vegetation canopy. These programmes are being used to monitor forest fires, monitoring water and air pollution. These days as the alarming effect of climate shift is increasing there is a need of stringent space programmes to prevent the disaster especially which are avoidable otherwise. These programmes can also be useful in treatment of diseases such as cancer as the patient is transported no gravity one and surgical procedures are conducted.
The future benefits of the space programmes are as follows. They can be used to generate power tools which are cordless. Recently NASA developed a barrier which is able to reflect 95 percent of the radiation which is harmful, it provides us an opportunity in future to cut down the heating costs of water. Earlier during the launch of Apollo, NASA designed a water purification system using ions as a integral of the water purification system. These systems are being used now and can be improvised for future needs in desalination applications. The global positioning technology used in the advanced satellite technologies is being used in transportation engineering and water engineering applications such as mapping and planning.DGPS is being used to enhance the navigation capabilities of the aircrafts or cargo planes. The defense application through the space technology is immense and it’s growing exponentially day by day.
The space programmes are though provoking programmes and always these have given bonus benefits always.
