Question one
In the first case, Sara Haynes was driven by jealousy to kill her long term boyfriend Bob Evans as the bartender narrates, "She was looking all around, with a wild look in her eyes. He was on the floor dancing away with this young blonde. She went straight at them. She pulled the blonde out of his arms and started yelling at him." This suggests that Sara was angry because she thought Bob was cheating on her. In the second case, Louis Castle was guilty of the crime she had commited and decided to commit suicide. This was because she felt that it would be shameful for her to be prisoned after all those years of evading justice.
Question two
Though women also commit crime just like men, they are more remorseful and in most case they are ready to face the law and answer charges for the crimes they had committed. This is seen in the first case were Sara is found in the crime scene despite being the one who committed the crime. While in the second case, Loise commits suicide because she feels guilty for killing her step daughter.
Question three
If I were a judge in the first crime, I would make the same ruling and sentence Sara. This is because sentencing Sara would be a lesson to others that being sorry does not make any one innocent of the crimes he/she has committed. If I were a detective in the second crime, coming up with a decision would be difficult because though the truth has been unfolded justice will not be exercised to any of the victims. However, it would make me more vigilant and be a lesson to me that when doing investigations a detective needs to be keen in order to come up with the correct results.
