The provision of quality in the healthcare sector in the modern setup is a divisive topic. the healthcare sector is a complex field, when it comes to the quality, because of the different individuals with their stakes in the healthcare. So, in this case stakeholders are considered responsible for the provision of cost effective services (Clarkson), with a lot of customizable and tailored packages for the ease of the patients and employees. Furthermore, the patients also want that their employer offer them major portion of the healthcare plan featured.
The influential stakeholders in healthcare are the payers, providers and the patients (Tang, Ash, and et al). The main business drivers contain pioneering features with customer satisfaction, modified coverage plans, and perfect customer support. These elements are well coordinated with the organization’s strategic goals and established on the basis of quality. The model of information in the complementary relationships is essential to manage. However, in the contradictory relationship, every stakeholder is trying to understand the things from their own perspective; it is very important to develop the distribution model.
Moreover, information that is useful for one stakeholder may not hold any importance for the other (Freeman, and Evan). For instance, healthcare pricing, cost of quality, financial statistics, insurance packages and exemption of taxes may signify differently to the patient or employer or even to the provider or payer. Moreover, there exist a lot of potential barriers in the healthcare sector. As the interests of the stakeholders differ, therefore, a homogeneous mechanism for data acquisition and propagation cannot be installed. However, there are several elements, which mutually contribute for the organizational innovation and continuous quality improvement. For this purpose, data-acquisition through feedback, benchmarking and establishing a system of quality assurance helps and each stakeholder, regardless of the degree of contrast plays a vital role in it.
