I have been working as a resource manager in a successful department of transportation in California for over two years. I have been responsible for performing analysis and monitoring the Legal Division's budget and resources including personal services and operating expenses. My experience in this office is a primary qualification, and I am therefore capable of planning, developing, and managing any legal office. This includes performing all the actives in the law office including monitoring of the budget, personnel, purchasing and all other actives with an aim of making my office successful. Together with other administrative team members, we have joined hands to ensure that there is an appropriate implementation of the departmental policies relating to personnel issues, staff, and office systems. Having worked as a senior legal typist and as a resource manager, I have been exposed to different government practices and procedures. For more than five years, I was responsible for preparation of legal settlement documents, compromise, release records, stipulation and award settlement documents for review by the administrative law judge. In addition to my ability gained from the current job, I can build relationships with the district staff, departmental offices, private industries and all other governmental agency representatives and, therefore, I have vast knowledge in administrative procedures. During working as a legal support supervisor for two years, I got exposed to various administrative practices. I provided administrative assistance, assisted with presentations of utilizing a variety of technology, compiled legal documents and assisted in preparing files. I have been assisting with investigation and reviews of employee complaints initiating, developing and monitoring complaints involving the star unit staff. I was engaged in explaining of programs, policies and procedures of the head unit. I also have an experience as dispute manager, as I worked in the organization to ensure that every individual is fairly treated and respected. I was also capable of settling any differences that occurred in the company.

Having worked as a legal support supervisor in California Public Utilities Commission, I have gained enough experience that has improved my ability to collect data, interpret data, and report the findings in a professional way. I was responsible for conducting factual research into statutes, cases, and records by the use of a variety of legal resources in the support of the attorneys' work. I was also responsible for compiling of legal research materials for their inclusion in legal documents for revision. Working as a senior legal typist also gave me more experience to collect the required data and later report it to the relevant groups. As a legal support supervisor, I was responsible for conducting investigation, collecting information, planning on the reporting of the information and reviewing the complaints of the employees to ensure that every member has taken care of the issues in the organization. I was responsible for developing and monitoring all the complaints of all the staff. I am also capable of arranging monthly meetings and collecting information that is discussed in these sessions. I have been responsible for the preparation of document instructions and worked in liaison with all the staff and the outside units and management.

As a senior legal typist, I have gained several leadership skills including management of multiple projects. I was able to value every person by maintaining an efficient working relationship. I believe as an administrative assistant; I possess the required skills. I was responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical support functions with the help of the available team in the area of assignment. While working as a human resource personnel analyst, I collaborated with other supervisors in establishing candidate pools and ensuring accurate and timely submission of hiring documentation to the administrative division for processing. I also worked with line managers and assisted them to understand and implement policies and procedures. I also worked with other managers to ensure that we promoted equality and diversity as a part of the culture of the organization.

As from the year 2014, I have been working as a resource manager. I have been accountable for all the activities in my department. I have been performing the analysis and monitoring the legal division's budget. In this way, I have been accountable for all the expenditures attached to the budget. I have been performing ethically by assisting in conducting candid interviews when hiring new employees. As the resource manager, I have worked with the help of other managers in ensuring that there is equity and diversity as part of the culture of the organization. I also took part in advising on the pay and remuneration and promotion. This gave the employees an equal chance to be promoted in all their jobs categories.
