Strategic Plan (January 2017 to December 2019)
The organization’s new strategy will outline its activities until 2019. It reflects on the organization’s opinion on some of the problems affecting the VCSE (Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise organizations) and the organization’s goal for transformation. The strategic plan pronounces the roles that the organization will assume in steering and assisting the sector in their attempt to mitigate these problems and take advantage of new openings as they occur. An increased demand for the organization’s services, as well as the harsh funding options, obliges the organization to be creative and function across sectors. In working with other sectors on common interests, the organization will encounter tough times in trying to maintain independence and continue to serve entities that need their services (Balanced Scorecard Institute, 2013).
Strategic Goals of the Organization
The organization has worked closely with relevant players in the sector to inform them of the problems that are affecting them and what they would expect from the organization. The organization has taken part in various support programs. Furthermore, it has considered the opinions and requirements of the sector and its members. The information collected will help the organization to lead the operations of its staff as well as its management to establish a master plan to guide its operations in the coming days (Balanced Scorecard Institute, 2013).
Goals of the Organization
The organization has identified goals and activities that will support its operations up to 2019 and help it achieve its vision and mission. The first goal for the organization is to help players in the sector to be strong and vigorous to deal with challenges that come along with change. The second goal of the organization is to assist the players in the sector in exploiting digital technology in meeting demands of their customers. The third and last goal is for the organization to remain strong and focused in order to mitigate the challenges brought about by change (Balanced Scorecard Institute, 2013).
Recommendations
Achievement Records: use an all-inclusive and integrated information system to enhance data collection and assessment for evaluation of the organization’s goals and achievements at all levels of the organization and operation. This will help the organization to remain focused on its key goals. It will also enhance the efficiency of operations (Framingham State University, 2011).
Working Environments: The organization should enhance the working environment of its personnel. This approach will lead to improvement in the productivity of workers. With motivated workers, the organization will be in a better position to achieve the goals outlined above (Framingham State University, 2011).
Enhanced Coordination for better services: Improve coordination of the main and complementary services throughout the organization. This recommendation will help in improving customer service and the overall performance of the organization. It will also help the organization to accomplish goals stated in the strategic plan (Pathfinder, 2013).
