Strategic, tactical, and operational plans
Strategic planning involves making decisions that are coupled with the big business picture. The decisions made are usually future-oriented. The decisions that are made in the strategic planning are numerous in number. It includes decisions such as the enterprise venture in which to be entered into. The vision and the business identity are also defined in these plans. Definition on how the business will compete as well as what the business stands for in the local and global perspective is identified. Statement of intent is what most corporations define as a capture of business strategy.
Tactical plans in most cases involve the establishment of tasks and activities that will see to it that the overall strategy is achieved. It is tightly coupled with strategy planning since absence of tactical planning will result in non achievement of the set objectives in the strategy planning. Tactical plan define the mission statement as well as define the domain the day-to-day activities as well as the long term objectives of a business telecommunication model.
Operational plans involve the determination of how tasks are actually done. It specifies a plan to which a responsibility allocation is done in order to specify who and when one is going to carry out a certain task. A plan on how the budget is to be run as well as a way in which to ensure service delivery reach the desired client is identified. Processes involved in the carrying out of the operations are defied and described.
Strategic, tactical and operational plans are interrelated in nature. Operational plans ensure that the tactical plans put in place are implemented. In the other hand strategies made are useless unless tactical approach on how to implement the same is made.
