The abnormal findings from genitourinary assessment include the following: presence of infection and lesions in female genitals, pain in the male genitals, painful intercourse in females, and dysuria among others. The treatment of abnormal genitourinary system depends on the cause of the anomaly identified during the assessment. For instance, the treatment of erectile dysfunction depends on the possible cause of the dysfunction. Nurses play a significant role in the prevention and treatment of stroke. During the preadmission phase, nurses play a role in stabilization of the airway and identification of signs and symptoms of stroke among other responsibilities. Besides, they educate patients on how to manage the condition (Miller et al., 2010).
