Categorically, I got motivated by three essential things to start a college. First, the family background from where I originate had significantly languished in poverty. The poverty subjected them to untold suffering that made them the laughing stock of the society. The mentioned reason gave me the morale of starting college to secure a better job and subsequently raise the living standards of not only my family but the entire community. Secondly, around the country, I noticed how people were earning less and struggling to make both ends meet by paying their bills. The mentioned reason motivated me as I need to live a healthier, as well as a happy life in the future. Finally, a friend informed me that he had landed in his well paying job out of connections and networking that he had categorically made in college (GreatSchools Staff, 2014). The mentioned reason concerning connections motivated me to commence college with the aim of making relevant connections and networks that would positively impact my future.
Emphatically, there exist three distinct things that will motivate me to keep going and eventually graduate. First my exemplary performance in the college work would greatly motivate me. Illustratively, excellent coursework performance would provide me with an inner desire to achieve more, and this would propel me to an eventual graduation. Secondly, the several seminars and career talks in college would significantly motivate me to keep going and eventually graduate. The cited seminars, and career talks would avail the essential connections that I desire in order to meet the right potential employer. The frequent seminars and career talks would, therefore, motivate me a great deal up to graduation. Thirdly, the outstanding desire to succeed in life for a better future would be the greatest motivation that would keep me going and finally graduate. The internal drive to be a successful individual in the future would undoubtedly propel me to graduation.
Most importantly, I would formulate myriad plans to stay motivated throughout my coursework. Initially, in order to stay motivated, I would categorically not associate with students who are pessimists and morale killers. Pessimists and morale killers often see the negative side of life and, therefore, believe that they got born failures. In order to stay motivated, I would explicitly dissociate from such individuals. Also, by keeping my professors close and consulting where necessary, my understanding of course work would be enhanced, and this would undoubtedly assist in motivation throughout college.
Additionally, to keep my motivation throughout, I would plan to set my semester goals and objectives. The goals set would be relevant, realistic, achievable and timely (Pauk & Owens, 2013). Through the setting of highlighted goals, I would industriously strive to meet them, and this would greatly assist me in staying motivated. Additionally, by forming discussion groups with like-minded students, we would get down to serious studies. The cited plan would aid in broadening my knowledge, and this would significantly motivate me throughout the coursework. Finally, by reading inspirational books, my mind would get focused into full desire to succeed. The cited books would provide the different strategies that got used in order to be successful. My plan to read the suggested books would be to ensure I read at least two books per month. The cited books would be undoubtedly available in the library. Therefore, in order to succeed, effective and efficient planning in college course work is paramount.
