Microeconomics is a sub-discipline in economics which uses analytical analysis and math heavily in the theorems. I have searched a little about this course by taking the other students' experiences who took this class before, and I read about the course on the online resources. I figured out that for developing a relatively better learning performance in this course, I need to renew my information about mathematical methods such as calculus of variation and drawing and reading graphs. Another important point in learning microeconomics is to understand the economic concept. Consequently, I realize that understanding microeconomics mainly depend on the knowledge of how to use math in economics, and the knowledge of the economic concepts and literature.
For preparing myself for the class, I found a simple math book to renew my information, and I have studied some relevant math subjects such as derivatives and drawing and organizing graphics. Secondly, I found an introduction to economics book, and I have reviewed the topics related to the microeconomics.
I am studying concept by concept in the book. Because a chapter includes many concepts in it, and each concept is linked to each other. Therefore, I need to understand each concept and the relations between the concepts. I study a few hours a day during the weekdays for this class.
Sometimes, I am having difficulty to understand some graphs and formulas in the book, and I spend long hours to learn some details. Unfortunately, I need to know some detailed information about the economic stories, and I realized I am not familiar with some details in microeconomics.
I am trying to make the class relatively easier for me by converting the microeconomics concepts into simple stories in my mind, and I attempt to find real life examples for the concepts.
