My main motive for selecting this source was triggered by the need to have valid and valuable source that will justify my main topic. Since supply chain management is a critical topic, and requires deeper insights and understanding, it is ideal to have an authoritative source that will distinctively capture all points of the topic. Therefore, these authors were appealing in their caption of the topic on supply chain transformation, which is one of the core areas of the supply chain management. Either, the quality of this source is justified in its topical alignment and coverage of core issues of supply chain management. The article begins from a larger scope of supply chain management concepts, but narrows it down to the firm’s precepts, and how such ideas are helpful towards the transformation of the performance and viability of a firm. Besides, I was able to validate the authenticity and accuracy of this source by comparing certain concepts with other sources discussing the same topic, and I realized that it was true and valid. The comparative aspect was very important since one can only rely on a source whose information or details concur with other materials.
