The public is against surrogacy tourism because many people consider it immoral. Most members of society consider surrogacy tourism as not morally upright. Some people even go as far as comparing surrogacy tourism to prostitution with reference to the level of immorality attached to the concept.
Surrogacy tourism is important in the current world especially in the current social disposition of the world. The world is on a trend of becoming less and less homophobic. This is a situation where same sex relations and even marriages are becoming more acceptable in society. As a result of this social acceptance of same sex marriages and relations it is very important to encourage surrogate tourism. This is because a couple of the same sex is obviously unable to get a child. Surrogacy enables coupes of the same sex to enjoy all the pleasures and joys associated with parenthood. This is because the coupe can get a surrogate mother and through in vitro fertilization the couple can get a child of their own. Surrogacy is therefore very important as an aspect of social acceptance and social tolerance of same sex marriages.
There are also many couples who are not able to have children of their own. This may be due to functional disorders or biological deficiencies. These couples should not be denied the right to have children of their own. Surrogacy can help these couples get children.it is unethical to deny these couples the right to have children. The ethical thing to do is to give them the opportunity to get children through surrogacy.
Poverty is also a real time problem not just in the third world but also in the first world. There are a lot of women unable to earn a decent living due to lack of job opportunities. Surrogacy is a real time form of employment. Surrogacy can help women get out of unemployment and start earning an honest living. It is thus encourageable to advocate surrogacy as a means of earning a livelihood.
