Swedish Aller Media
Aller Media is a magazine publishing company established in Copenhagen, Denmark. Founded by Carl Aller and his wife Laura Aller in 1873, the company expanded and broadened its scope into the countries of Sweden and Finland. (Aller, 2016). The company extended in Sweden as well and there it established its editorial offices in Stockholm, Goteborg, Malmo and Helsingborg. Aller Media holds 83% of the market’s shares in magazines and is one of the most popular magazines that are purchased and read in the country. (Aller Holding, 2016). There are various magazines published by the company such as Elle, Café, Familie Journalen, Femina, Allers and Se Og Hor. Some are in English while others are published in the local language. The target audience is equally distributed, but the female audience is kept in mind because they are the main buyers of the Familie Journalen. (N.a, 2016). The best-selling magazine is the Se Og Hor, which is the TV guide and is the main attraction for males. Hence, the magazine has something equally interesting for both genders, by targeting their needs and interests. (Mag People, 2008).
In the Nordic region, the magazine has brilliant sales; about 3.2 million copies circulating every week. Denmark has a rotation rate of 700,000 copies alone. Allers, which is a weekly magazine, has a circulation of over 2 million in Sweden. About 35 magazines are being published in Sweden, that are read by about 4 million people each month and 2.2 million copies are being sold all over the year. The online magazine named the Aller Media L33t Magazine is the first ever online magazine issued in Denmark that issues news on sports, especially esports. The magazine is all about the enthusiasts that wish to know more about competitive gaming and sports, and it provides thorough entertainment with a skilled team that operates it online. (G2Mi, 2016).
