In this plan, I would target the kids who are moving to teen life. This would include both boys and girls in their puberty between eight and fourteen years.
Importance of the program
The program is important in reducing the population of the persons that are inducted into tobacco use every year.
The goal of the program
The ultimate goal of the program shall be to cut down the cigarette smoking population in the next twenty years by half. (Wilson & Kolander, 53).
Five year objective of the program
In the short run, the program will ensure that by the fifth year, no mature person shall smoke cigarette in front of the target population, that smoking zones shall be re-branded to bear other names which do not attract the minors attention, and also that the authorities are stiff on violators of these regulations (Denelsky, 150). By the fifth year, every child at puberty age shall be educated about dangers of cigarette smoking. Peer groups shall be formed among persons of this age top pas the same message. The kids shall also be taught how to respectfully challenge their seniors who are in smoking.
Key activities during the first two years
In the first two years, the program shall hold forums to be attended by persons at puberty age. In these forums, there shall be lectures, group discussions, and movies all intended at passing the message of dangers of smoking.
Program evaluation
After every three years, a survey shall be taken to establish the number of new users and the number of persons who have given up smoking (Denelsky, 151). This shall be done by sample survey.
Savings gotten from the program
The program is expected to reduce the cases of illnesses that are related to tobacco use as well as reduction of cost of living for those who give up smoking
