As the facility director of the Alzheimer’s House, I am concerned about the Alzheimer patients under my supervision. As you may know, Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive disease which destroys memory and reduces the cognitive functioning of the brain. It is an incurable disease, however, with efforts and proper management strategies, the symptoms of this disease can be improved. The patients can be helped by involving them in games and activities that stimulate their brain cells. It is really important to take an initiative to help the Alzheimer patients with activities like gardening, baking, swimming and yoga helps to improve the symptoms of this disease.
As I mentioned above that games and activities stimulate the brain cells; it is very important that we have high-tech games that have been specially designed to improve the symptoms of Alzheimer. Therefore, my department requires extra funding for to create better treatment conditions for our patients. There have been many reports that prove that these games and activities help the patients as it stimulates mental and cognitive functioning. These games and activities along with treatments with medications can certainly improve the condition of Alzheimer patients. These activities are really therapeutic and have shown remarkable improvement in the level of awareness and alertness.
It is my humble appeal that you consider the request of funding for our department to help Alzheimer patients. These games are expensive but they have remarkable outcomes and it matters a lot to us and the wellbeing of our patients. I hope you will consider my request and take a timely decision.
