In the classroom, the student’s learning experience is enhanced by the current, effective, and modern instruction methods through technology. As a teacher, the technology that I would use in a wealthy school would be Smart Board, LCD Projector, and the Internet. A modern smart whiteboard has a touch screen functionality and is electronically powered. A teacher can demonstrate points by simply using a pen or a finger. Correspondingly, using the projector, the teachers can easily display the visual images on the smart board that would improve the students’ learning. Using the smart board, a projector, and the Internet, the students can learn more effectively with visual images, draw, write, transpose diagrams, charts, templates, and save information for the next session. In addition, the teacher can create active and engage lessons wherein the students can interact or actively participate using the various tools a smart board provides. The students are enthusiastic and more engaged using these educational tools or technologies.
Teaching in a school with fewer resources would be challenging. As a teacher, I would consider the technology that they can afford, yet essential and beneficial to the students’ learning. The computers, mobile devices, projector, and the Internet are useful for the students in their learning. Both the teachers and the students can use smartphones for the academic purposes in the classroom and the mobile learning is now accessible and similar to e-learning. Specifically, the mobile phones are portable and have similar applications like a simple PC. Through the device, the students can access academic information via an educational mobile application that is used to access course materials, post questions about specific topics, all can be performed in the classroom.
It would be a great advantage if the students have easier access to any device when they most need it. The advanced technology can help them create and develop their skills by using the necessary educational tools in their subject matter. As a teacher, I would consider the combination of the educational tools such as computers, laptop, LCD projectors, smart boards, document or digital camera, and the Internet. Certainly, the students would have positive outputs with the help of their teachers to use the technology responsibly.
