Microsoft Project 2007 is a great tool for human resource managers, as it is extremely helpful in resource management and analysis functions. One of the most important aspects of the human resource manager‘s role is to track the whereabouts of the resources that are engaged into a project and this software equips the managers to generate a report about their activity and to keep the data organized. The project schedules are created according to the number of resources working on a particular task and therefore it becomes important to track shortage of resources so that counter hiring can be done proactively in order to restrict the project from getting delayed due to lack of resources.
There are times when the allocated resources are able to complete their tasks before time or they may be underutilized during a project cycle, and in that case Microsoft Project 2007 can be very helpful to advise the HR managers about the underutilized resources and will also guide them to use those resources in activities where more resources may be required. The adequate allocation of underutilized resources does not only lead to effective time management but also proves a very handy tool to save operational costs.
