Most organized successful businesses have separate databases and/or with data warehouses. Keeping all company information in one database is very risky as it can be hacked by unauthorized people who may use the information unlawfully (Rajesh, 2010).
Having a single database that contains all business information is cheaper; however, the risk involved is more expensive, and most business prefers separating the information. Day to day operations of the business requires the availability of information, and when the data are not separated, it may take a longer time to retrieve the data (Rajesh, 2010). Keeping data in a single database may lead to customers being unsatisfied and lawsuits when the system is hacked.
Businesses that use wireless connectivity have mobility, as users are able to access information in time anywhere in the organization. This enhances productivity that cannot be done by wired network (Rajesh, 2010). Wireless network also reduces the cost of ownership as cost benefit in the end is relatively high, moreover, it can be scaled easily.
Mobile Wireless Network can affect a company in a number of ways. Mobile wireless enhances productivity as users can work anytime anywhere (Smolkina, 2001). Besides, companies save money, as they do not have to buy wires. Additionally, companies are to work faster with mobile wireless unlike before. Finally, companies with mobile wireless can access other applications such as videos especially on conferences (Smolkina, 2001).
In summary, keeping information in a separate database is safer and authorized persons can easily access the information. It is crucial to note that firms that use mobile wireless are positively impacted; there is a need to keep tight security measures (Smolkina, 2001).
