Education is a rather important element of modern society. Every person is supposed to get at least secondary education. Then those who are talented continue their studies for bachelor, master and PhD level. However what about those who are disabled? Those who are not able to attend any establishment of education? They are talented as well. More than that, they are willing to study. Here online education is the best solution.
People talk about a number of advantages of online learning. It is definitely comfortably to study at home. You do not need to waste your time to get to the university for example (Malburg, 2010). However there are not only advantages in online learning. Students may face some challenges as well. Among them may be the following:
Problems with permanent internet. Naturally in some parts of the country internet is not available constantly. Online learning demands students to be bound with computers and this affects badly student`s health. These students should not forget that going somewhere outside helps to refresh one`s forces before learning. Physical and mental types of work should be replaced.
Less communication. Online education reduces the chance of getting new friends. Here you have only computer. This makes you isolated from the world. However students should not forget that there are still some ways to get in touch with similar students who are learning online, like forums, chats and so on (James, 2002).
Self-learning. In online learning everything depends on you. You choose the course to study and choose the pace of your learning. There is no one who is able to explain you something in case you have difficulties with some questions. But if you really have desire to study, you will always find ways to understand to remember new information (Rockler-Gladen, 2006).
Problems with employment. Not every employer is sure about the accreditation of online courses. People are more used to the traditional forms of education. However if you receive really good knowledge it may dissipate any doubts.
In any case everything depends on the student itself. There is always a way to study. The only thing that is needed is desire.
