The most common idea behind dieting has always been based on the fact that, it is a way of getting rid of the excessive fats in the body. It is for this reason that most individuals usually avoid taking some diets that contain high fat content especially foods like red meat and instead taking meat products with low calorie content that controls the level of cholesterol in the blood and fat, as well. Dieting has been used for many years by individuals who have weight issues and it is vital to note that, most of these individuals have been able to cut down weight. Therefore, the argument that dieting can make people fat is unsound and should this idea be demonstrated through examples (Jonas, Steven, Robert & Steven 210).
First, it is vital to note that, dieting is meant to lose weight and not gain weight. This is the reason that led to the coining of the term dieting. Dieting according to the oxford dictionary, dieting is a process that is used by individuals with excess fats and it is a process that is used to reduce the amount of fats in the body. Dieting is thus, used to reduce the fats in the body and not used for gaining fats as has been claimed by some nutritionists (Jonas, Steven, Robert & Steven 210).
Dieting is a process that has incorporated the use of specific diets. It would, therefore, be invalid to say that it promotes the gain of the excessive fat weight. This is attributed to the fact that, before any dieting process is carried out, a nutritionist is involved in administering the table to be used for intake for food. The food to be taken for the process of dieting is meant to be tested on the individual involved in the dieting process, and the response used for proper diet to be used while dieting (Smith 90).
It is unusual to hear an individual talking about dieting in terms of gaining weight. Dieting has been used for the sole purpose of reducing the production of the enzyme that is mainly used for the promotion of storage of fats into the blood system. Through this practice, the transfer of fats into the blood system and deposition is reduced to a higher rate hence; fewer fats are deposited through such an act into the blood that reduces the fats and thus invalidating the notion that dieting is the source of fat gain in individuals trying to gain access to a reduction of weight loss (Smith 90).
Fatty foods are the reasons that lead to gain of weight. Foods that contain excess fats are thus minimized for the individual's dieting. For example, if avocadoes were highly taken by an individual to be involved in the dieting process, he or she can be advised to reduce the intake of such a diet. Instead, such an individual is to take more of vegetables and water other than fatty foods. It is evident that, individuals taking high contents of fats exhibit the characteristics of being fat while the individuals who take low fats do not exhibit characteristics of a fat individual (Webb, Frances & Eleanor 18).
It is thus essential to note dieting is a measure of decreasing fats in the body and not gain weight. It only happens that an individual administering wrong diet during the process of dieting will gain excess fats. If the right diets that are fat free are administered, dieting can then be termed successful (Webb, Frances & Eleanor 18).
Arguments supporting dieting can make people fat being unsound
Categorical enthymeme
All dieting processes are meant to control excess fats in the body. Dieting is a process that is used to reduce the intake of fatty foods specifically for the individuals with excess weight gain. Dieting cannot involve incorporation of foods that are fatty while trying to reduce weight gain. It is more a fallacy of denying from ignorance that, most individuals are putting into use. Under such circumstances, an individual in most instances does not know the procedure that is carried out during the process of weight loss of excessive fats in the body. Therefore, the fats are reduced through the process of dieting other than the gain of fat weight (Ungar 34).
Hypothetical enthymeme
Under this situation, if an individual was to use dieting for gaining excess fat thus making then fat in nature, dieting could have been given another name. Dieting in such a situation can be said to be an addition of weight and thus, most of the dictionaries could change the meaning of dieting. Under the fallacy of omission of key evidence, if scientists could administer diets like avocado into the diet of an individual trying to lose weight and successfully prove that, dieting results into gaining of fats, then dieting can be termed to make people fat. Otherwise, there is bound to exist omission of specific ideas that should be used to validate the fact that, dieting leads to a reduction of excessive fats hence, making individuals less fat when compared to their previous states (Ungar 34).
Disjunctive enthymeme
Dieting is either a process of weight loss or can be used to mean weight gain in circumstances that in proper diet is administered. The diets that are administered, for example, by nutritionists like ground nuts that have excessive fats are meant to gain weight and not lose weight. The process of gaining weight can be termed to be a circumstance that is based on denying from ignorance. It is even widely known that, foods like plump nuts that are administered to patients with excessive fat loss are meant to make such individuals gain more weight. It is thus, a sign of ignorance for individuals to term the dieting being a process of gaining fats and making people fat. The evidence is very clear from the scientist’s lab results that, high intake of fat results into absorption of the specific fats into the system. This can only mean that, scientists evidence of facts have been rejected through ignorance and individuals would like invalidate the major outcomes that have been related to fat and excessive weight gain (Yagelski et al. 6).
It is thus essential for most individuals to note the, fats are only gained through excessive intake of fatty foods. For the individuals dieting, the main diet involves while the process is usually fat free like vegetables and fruits that do not have any fats. Moreover, the types of food like the use of avocadoes and peanuts have been used widely in order to gain weight. It is clear that this food contains a high amount of calories and fats. The fats are administered for cases that an individual is highly malnourished, this means that such individuals require to take more of the fatty foods, as opposed to reduced fatty foods. Therefore, the argument that dieting makes people fat is an unsound judgment.
