I salute you dear friend Henry, I, however, write you this letter to express disgrace and disdain about the things that your wife, Harriet did when she visited us. As much as I appreciate the fact that she gave birth to a newborn, her inability to have her child certified was disrespectful and filthy to bring an uncertified child into my house and home by extension. She further went ahead to borrow my newborn child, Petra Storm for her to certify her child. I owe this to the fact that she knew that her child would never pass the normalcy test and standards (William and Horace 6). In principle, while she asked me to lie for her during the certification exercise, it was an insult to my strongly held religious beliefs of the highest order.
I advise you to report the birth and the presence of your daughter to the inspector because it is in line with the traditions of the land. The fact that your wife has hidden her birth does not only fault the laws of the land, but he holy rule of our religion. It is not acceptable to lie to the authorities because it would bring problems to you and by extension, us because we are friends, and family-the scandal may extend to us. Lastly, I find it important to stress the fact that Waknuk, has been a religious place with high standards of purity and morality. We as the current occupants inherited the religious traditions of purity and religious uprightness. We have for a long period respected and abided by the rules of the land and also the holy rules of the Bible. Thus, it is imperative for us to continue to do the same and leave the same traditions and legacy to our children.
