- Serenity is always an element that adds beauty to an image and let it speak on its own without the requirement of any word. Perhaps, it’s behind the notion that a picture speaks a hundred words within itself. The depiction in my shots is more of a similar nature. I found evident thrust n individuals around with the same gut. I rather like to catch the glimpse of such feeling wherever I find and the same is displayed from different dimensions in my shots. In fact, I can profoundly mention it as part of my ultimate aspirations.
- My work is purely a product of natural instinct that is more inclined towards purity of nature and genuineness rather than subjective attempts to address, affiliations with politics, society, artwork or any other demeanor.
- . As mentioned above, the complete process was all instinctual and free from any pre-planned methodological bindings. My sole objective was to follow the instincts with captivation of images that made the product independent against the criteria of planning and organizing. Overall the project took a week for formalization in which I kept taking shots and adjusting them in regular intervals.
- I believe that purity and instinctual demeanor have a charm of its own. In a quest to address the two elements in my work, I adhered to the strategy of free surfing to scratch the genuine shots of the serenity quest of individuals spotted around.
II. Course Connection––readings, viewings, discussions
This artwork is in the form of photography that adheres more to instinct and natural poses rather than formal and specific scenes. It is of pictures taken in the streets of tourists engaging themselves in various activities. The similarity between all the images is that of the glimpse of serenity that made them absorb into the environment rather than being a part of the surroundings only. This artwork has been greatly inspired by the beautiful instinct that makes an individual ramble in the pursuit. Hence, it can be mentioned that the exposition is more about the sensation of serenity rather than formal depictions. The project was further interlinked with the technical elements of contemporary photography to make the product more appealing. Like the subject of the project, the technical challenges were also intensified in the finalization of the project, as I had to translate my perception over the image. The technical reproduction was massively explored with multitude of application in the demeanor to do the best. Likewise, it was also the most enjoyable task of the project to integrate technical information with spiritual conceptions.
III. Reflection on your completed project
The process of developing this artwork involved taking random pictures in quest of extraordinary from the ordinary. It was a process as searching corals on a beach. More the fun I had, more the output improved. The most premium learning I retrieved from the project is that of the importance of pleasure and the influence it renders on professional and personal domains. The sole element of excitement enhanced the quality of my product allowing to explore new techniques and modes of application (Krishnamurti, 2014). I learnt to capture an image with its natural features irrespective of the contraption. In this demeanor new techniques were being explored to achieve the desired look of the image. I believe, that if I had more time for the accomplishment of my project, my product and learning outcomes would have been much ore refined than at present.
